As previously reported on icare4autism.org, Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) needs your help. For those who missed it, SKHOV is a non-profit, private school for children with autism that serves over 60 children, from ages 3 to 11, in school and center programs.
SKHOV is participating in the Kohl’s Cares competition. The popular, and autism-friendly, department store chain will award $500,000 to 20 schools with the most Facebook votes by September 3rd, 2010. The school is now looking for volunteers to give them the extra boost that they need to win $500,000, so they can place a bubble top playground on the roof of the building. This will provide an array of new activities for the children, as well as help SKHOV accommodate more children.
We need YOU to reach out to your friends and make them aware of the cause. Go beyond making it your status. Call your friends, or go to your local coffee shop with a laptop and spread the word.
The goal is to get a minimum of 100 friends to vote 5 times each, totaling 500 votes. SKHOV needs at least 50 to 60 people to volunteer and help if they want to win the $500,000.
If you can get 100 of your friends to cast 5 votes each, then you will be entered into a drawing to win $500 or a brand new iPad.
If you want to volunteer or know of anyone who might be interested, please email email@example.com. You can also call 718-686-9600, for further details.
