Leading CBD Company Announces Sponsorship of Autism Hope Alliance

November 6, 2019

Health care in America can be costly, and even more so for families of children and young adults with autism. Hemp Fusion, a leading hemp and CBD company, announced its support last month for the Florida-based nonprofit Autism Hope Alliance in the form of a platinum sponsorship and planned donation of products.

“It is a great honor and privilege to support this meaningful

organization with such an important cause,” HempFusion president and co-founder Jason Mitchell said, according to a report by Health Europa.eu.

Several studies have shown the benefits of CBD as a treatment for autism, including one conducted this year by researchers at Israel’s Ben-Gurion University and Soroka University Medical Center. The study found that 80% of participants showed improvement after six months of treatment with CBD.

“With over 3.5 million Americans diagnosed with autism annually, HempFusion welcomes this opportunity to make a difference within our industry and beyond by providing mentorship, products, and donations through this sponsorship.”

2,932 families of individuals with autism were supported by

HempFusion and its family of companies in 2018. In 2019, the organization donated to 3,246 families, according to Health Europa’s report.

Tom Bohager, the founder of the Autism Hope Alliance, said the organization is excited to have HempFusion as a major contributor and partner.

“An Autism diagnosis can be complex, but helping a child isn’t,” Bohager said. “We are proud to align with HempFusion’s natural, superfood approach to address the overall health of the family.”

The Autism Hope Alliance is the first nonprofit organization to emerge from the Natural Foods industry, which it hopes to connect with the autism community.

“Evidence suggests that CBD works best when used in the presence of other cannabinoids, terpenes, and omegas,” Mitchell said. “We are proud that our products are being embraced in the natural foods industry and supported by organizations such as the AHA.”
