Autism Intervention Organization to Open 5 New Therapy Centers in Minnesota by June

Caravel Autism Health is a Wisconsin and Chicago-based organization offering early autism intervention through ABA therapy. This month, Caravel announced it will be moving forward with plans to open five new autism therapy centers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area by June, with more facilities expected to be added by 2021. In a press release, Caravel said its move to expand in Minnesota was based on the fact that the state has a higher rate of children diagnosed with autism (1 in 44) than the national average of 1 in 54, based on statistics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Caravel had initially put is expansion plans on hold to implement safety protocols and best practices for patients and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that those enhancements have been implemented, Caravel CEO Mike Miller said the organization can “return to our mission of delivering autism therapy through our new centers for local families. These new resources will reduce wait times for both diagnosis and treatment by giving families access to specialists who can provide the life-changing therapy their children need.” Source: https://www.psychcongress.com/article/caravel-add-5-autism-therapy-centers-minnesota-june
