Dr. Weinstein Goes to Israel

CEO and Founder of ICare4Autism Dr. Joshua Weinstein, recently went to Israel to visit the Beit Issie Shapiro (BIS) in Raanana along with ICare4Autism’s Director of Global Services, Chava Attia and international lawyer and solicitor Zvika Barack.

BIS is a leading organization that develops innovative services and therapies for children with disabilities and their families. The non-profit organization creates both national and international projects, which incorporate consultation and training on therapeutic and educational services. BIS’ research focuses on non-government organizations and professional services and has been a powerful tool for social change and disability advocacy throughout Israel. The organization has also received recognition from the United Nations Economic and Social Council being given the ‘Special Consultative Status’ title.

While in Israel, Dr. Weinstein also visited various organizations and universities to promote ICare4Autism’s free workshop series and previous programming, including Dr. Stephen Shore’s recent lecture “Sense & Sensibility” at Hotel Pennsylvania in New York, NY. Our next workshop will be taking place on March 10th, where MA, BCBA and IEP Coordinator at Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices’s Chani Katz will discuss parenting children with autism. ICare4Autism will also be holding additional conferences with Montefiore/Einstein Medical Center in May 2016 and in Mexico City in late June with Humberto Nicolini at the National Institute of Genomic Medicine.
