Autism is a neurobiological disorder, affecting children and adults worldwide. Many cultures have learned awareness and acceptance of this developmental delay; however, issues arise in some regions of the world. ICare4Autism is geared up to enhance autism awareness and diagnosis, and develop an Autism Centre in Pakistan. Though many people are involved in this project, an international Skype meeting was held to accommodate all time zones on July 22, 2013 with the project’s core team, including Deremiah *CPE, United States, Dr. Farah Deeba, Ireland, Eileen Hopkins, Director of Global Initiatives for ICare4Autism, United Kingdom, Naveed Ahmad, Pakistan, and Wazhat Ali, Pakistan.
Each member of the call has a role for this project: Deremiah *CPE will help in the development of customer care, Dr. Farah Deeba will be developing the vision for the Autism Centre in Pakistan, Eileen Hopkins will develop a ToolKit and leveraging international relationships, Naveed Ahmad will head public relations, and Wazhat Ali will facilitate relationships and key networks to reach key figures in Pakistan. Through collaboration, ICare4Autism is developing imagery for ICare4Autism-Pakistan, and plans to successfully bring awareness and acceptance of autism to Pakistan.
